Looking for new customers?  Let them find you:  promote your own Web site.  Business cards, flyers, banners, signs, bumper stickers.  Get your name out there with your competition.   Once you start spreading the work, put a site meter on your Web site to count the number of visits to your site.  Ask new customers, “How’d you hear about me?”  You’ll see which advertising dollars are actually working.
